vishvakarma has provided all 5 Zilla Parishad Government High Schools in Talupula Mandalam, (block/ taluka) AP, two fuel efficient stives each. These stove burn without smoke and are very fuel efficient.

In most Government schools the mid-day meal is cooked using firewood on 3-stone stoves which burn inefficiently and produce smoke - a health hazard- and soot, a pollutant.

rural environmental zones (REZs)

vishvakarma is currently focusing its efforts in Talupula Mandal, Anantapuram District in Andhra Pradesh, India.

We are working with Government High Schools as a first step in building awareness on many fronts- encouraging independent learning (thinking); developing a sense of common property and public good; and providing technical support for more efficient methods of cooking. This is only a start.
